Stephanie Yoon
Children's & Youth Pastor

Growing up in a pastor’s home, Stephanie came to know Jesus at a very young age.  As a child, she was actively involved in the church and enjoyed learning about God and His plan for redemption.  When she was twelve years old, Stephanie made a commitment to not only follow Christ, but to passionately pursue an intimate relationship with her Maker.  During her teen years, she got a “taste” of many different ministries and realized that God had big things in store for her.

After graduating high school, Stephanie went on to attend Elim Bible Institute.  She majored in biblical studies, minored in pastoral ministry, and served in a class leadership role.  In May 2008, Stephanie graduated and, two months later, married her soul mate, Dae Yoon.  Right away, the two of them were launched into ministry together, and were able to impact young lives at a new church plant in Dothan, Alabama.

At the beginning of 2009, Stephanie moved to Northern Virginia and was offered a position as youth/children’s pastor at Christian Assembly.  Presently, she works alongside of her husband, focusing on discipling youth and children for the sake of Christ’s kingdom.

Stephanie desires to see people fully connect with God.  To this end, she is dedicated to seeing fellow believers move closer to Him, and the unsaved brought into a life-giving relationship with Jesus Christ.  Stephanie enjoys pouring out her heart in worship and leading others into deep communion with the Lord.

She likes dark chocolate, The Office, and playing with her little dog, Nikki.  Stephanie is also the author of a children’s book, Randall the Rusty Spoon, that speaks of the redemptive power of Christ.
